Default Dad I'm borrowing the car (UNBELIEVABLE)

I got this in my inbox this morning. I took the liberty of removing all the embedded images and uploading them to a Photobucket album here. Are these photos from the crash we discussed in this thread last year? (That is to say, my vote is real pictures, inaccurate description.)

Dad, I'm Borrowing the Car..

$1,000,000 FERRARI

[Image001 was here]

Ferrari hits a power post at 200 mph.....

[Image002-image009 were here]

The driver only had some bruising (seat belt)
and 2 small cuts.
-car loss
$1 Million bucks!
-waiting list for a new one - 2 years;
-when can I drive Dad's car again - nuclear 1/2 life;
-when will I not be grounded &see the light of day -
same day the polar ice caps melt
-
still alive....

Priceless

Car only had 9 miles on it !

One mile of it was
during the wreck.

I'm not that familiar with Ferraris--is there really a Ferrari out there that costs $1 million? I know they're expensive, but I thought they were all in the low-to-mid 6-digit range.

Did you try the link to the Photobucket site in the OP? It worked for me.

If I'm remembering that crash correctly, it was an Enzo Ferrari, which sold for US$600,00+ and the last one (the 400th) was sold for over US$1m. Wikipedia - gotta love it.

I know. I purposely removed them and moved them to photobucket as to not overload the message board. Not sure if that would be as much of a problem with the new board or not, but it appears we're not allowed to have more than four images in a post anyway (there were originally a bunch of smilies in there as well, which I had to remove in order to get it to post). Anyway, follow the link in the OP for the pictures.

The link didn't show up the first time I looked at the thread.

I got it now!

Thanks!

If you go to the archived MSB that Wildabeast linked to, you'll find this comment "We are pleased to offer 2003 USA model Ferrari Enzo s/n 132663. This very special Enzo is Fly Yellow with a tastefully done Factory special–ordered black and yellow interior, yellow gauge faces, contrasting stitching on the leather work and Enzo’s signature embroidered into both “big” seats. One owner. Low miles. All services done. Matching floor mats and trunk mat. Includes the original luggage set.

Priced right at $1,050,000."

Wildabeast-it is the same car. Link here: http://www.malibutimes.com/articles/...news/news1.txt

So same car, different story.

Looks like I found the answer to my own question. After looking through the other thread a little more, I found one article that is still available, and has pictures.

http://www.malibutimes.com/articles/...news/news1.txt

Different angle, but looks like the same crash.

Look at the post right above yours. You've been spanked.

Spam-he gave the link to that in the OP. He asked if it was the same case.

Actually, Spam linked to a different thread, where snopes posted the exact same email and photos I did.

(And I actually realized I'd been spanked, I just decided not to comment on it before)
