National MP Jacqui Dean has been caught out by a long-running hoax that seeks to trick gullible MPs into calling for a ban on "dihydrogen monoxide" - or water.

Dihydrogen Monoxide is one of the most deadly substances on Earth. At least the Australian government is taking steps to eliminate it from our country.

Same here in Kent England. Despite a rapidly growing number of Dihydrogen Monoxide users living in the area, our local government have staunchly resisted plans to increase facilities for the storage and processing of the substance. They recently rejected a plan to build a new DHMO storage unit (which they called a reservoir) near Canterbury. However cunning plans are afoot to build a plant which will extract pharmaceutical grade DHMO from seawater to supply the addicts.

Are you kidding? They're building a desalination plant in Sydney that will dump millions of litres of the stuff directly into our water supply!

Here in Toronto we get over 30% of our energy from it...and what does the government do? They propose that we ELIMINATE other sources of energy and one day run the entire city off of the stuff!
Horrible, I tell you.

There is a particularly potent version sold here which is 60-65% DMHO dissolved in ethnol. It goes by various street names such as whisky, gin and vodka.
There is also another version which is around 88% DMHO called 'wine'. |

Here in the US they go as far as to advertize it on television. . Some real bad DMHO junkies even think you need eight glasses of the stuff per day. |

Hey, I bathe in the stuff. Round here there's so much of it we can throw it down the drain. I know some folks put out basins to catch raw DHMO outside, but I prefer mine purified. I see some people carrying it round with them and openly imbibing their fix on street corners. I met some USAnians upset because the museum didn't have a DHMO dispenser.
(The MP getting caught out reminds me of the British MP who embarrassed himself when taken in by Brass Eye's spoof dangerous drug called "cake")
