Comment: Could you please post something about the "International Hotel
Law" that supposedly states that a hotel cannot ask a guest to leave even after the agreed upon check-out time, if the guest requests an extension and has the ability to pay for it? I keep getting guests try to use this all the time, but the truth is that we can forcibly remove them if necessary to make room for new guests, since we are not bound by any "international" laws here in the states, and the laws we are bound to say that we must have rooms available for those who booked them - meaning that if I'm sold-out for a night you want to extend, I can ask you to leave, so that I'm not liable for booting a guest who had a valid reservation. |
