Mysterious ‘big cat’ seen in garden

A Carshalton man has reported seeing a puma racing through his back garden.

Darren Mason, 37, from Park Avenue, said he was about to spend an evening hedgehog spotting with his family when the mysterious big, black cat darted across his lawn at roughly 8.30pm.

If it's black it isn't a puma. End of story. There are no recorded cases of melanism in pumas.

Why not? I like hedgehog watching in the garden. I put leftover cat food out for them. I've even spoon-fed hedgehogs with cat food (which is rather cute).
