Comment: I looked for one possible myth, but couldn't find it...
Do rats really stay away from fruit cake?

Dunno about fruitcake, but my rat Anja absolutely loved normal cake...I nearly lost some fingers finding that out

Rats (and mice) eat fruit cake. I've baited traps with it. Rats tend to stay away from unfamiliar foods to begin with.
