And how many people are laying their thumb along their nose to check relateive size

I'd say about the size of an adult's fist? Roughly?

No, when it got to around 5 feet, he'll trip over his own beard and kill himslf falling down stairs.

Same here.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

If I put a penny in my mouth, I can taste the copper. Is the saliva dissolving the copper in the penny?

But liquor puts hair on your chest, so it all evens out.

1. Approximately. Why is that interesting?

2. That's probably about right too.

3. Were talking tesile strength here. If you tied 3kg to a hair on your head. it would fall out. But the hair itself, maybe. See [http://www.blackwell-synergy.com/doi/pdf/10.1111/j.1600-0846.2007.00268.x?cookieSet=1]here[/url] for the properties of hair (you need to do the calculations yourself.)

4. Again, it is a load per square inch thing. Probably true for peopel without osteopenia or osteoporosis.

6. Nonsense. Any time you hear "your X is the exact size as your Y" is nonsense. Now, most people's thumb is approximately the same size as their nose, in that both are in the ballpark of 2-3 inches in adults. Your hand wrist to fingertips is about the size of your chest sternum to side. But none of these are exact and there is no magic symmetry (sorry Leonardo.)

7. On average, the heart rate of females is higher than males.

8. This is probably a rate of growth in adulthood times average lifespan thing repackaged as a fun fact, but hair coils and contracts and knots and breaks and all those good things when is is long, so no way to say that this would in fact be correct.

9. Dunno. Sounds like a specific association repackaged in to a generalization.

11. It would depend on the cell type, but not even close. Many human cells are apprximately 20 micrometers by 10 micrometers, so 200 square micrometers. A square inch is ~6.5 square centimeters = 6.5 x 10^8 square micrometers. So you would need 3 million cells for a square inch.

16. The cells that secrete cerumen (ear wax) are not innervated by the sympathetic nervous system, but they do react to catecholamines (e.g. "adrenaline.") So is the criculating adrenaline is high. such as with stress, this could happen.

17. Depends on how you define indiviual muscles and muscle groups, but you could come up with this number.

18. I have to think about this one. The metal taste is more of an electrochemical reaction.

19. Yep. That is median- the 50th percentile for a 20 year old woman is approximately 5'4 1/4", for a man 5'9 1/2". That one is novel?
