Comment: Is it truth or rumor that a woman filed a lawsuit against
Disney World because she claimed that the hydrolators in The Living Seas Pavillion at Epcot were responsible for rupturing her eardrums? Supposedly, her claim was that the "pressure" from the hydrolators going so deep underwater ruptured her eardrums (the hydrolators didn't go anywhere). Disney's attorney took the jury on a field trip to Epcot and showed them how the hydrolators were for illusion only. The lawsuit was dismissed. Some people say they have heard this story on Disney behind the scenes tours. |

I have never heard of the story before, but my guess is that taking the jury on the tour would be unnecessary since all that would be required would be somebody who operated the ride to testify that the hydrolators were immoble, heck, the pland could clearly show this. No jury would be needed. A judge would throw the suit out in a minute once Disney lawyers would meet with the judge.
