Shifty Eyes Disney character blunders

Seems there are quite a few stories about Disney and character blunders within the Tigger thread. How about one with stories of seeing/doing blunders within the realm of characters? Is this allowed?

Almost any topic is allowed to be discussed here (with the exception of trolling posts) but I'm not exactly sure what you mean.

Default Random thoughts and bloopers

G'day, Cervus.

What I have in mind is those of us who have either seen or accomplished goofs like those hinted in the Tigger thread.

For example: while helping Goofy out one day, I went to go off stage by acting like one of the Monkeys (the 60s band with their own TV show...). With one hand up on my head and the other extended as though being pulled, I started my exit. I had checked my path to make sure there wasn't anyone in the way; but, as things so happen, another cast member had wandered into my quick paced exiting fist with her right cheek. Left a bit of redness and all... Gawrsh!! I hadn't lived that one down yet.

No lawsuit. Just some huge gasps from guests and the cast member laughed it off.

Thankfully!

Something like the above is what I'm getting at. I have tons more if there are others to post and share as well.

Thoughts? Comments? Questions?

I keep wondering if we got our picture taken with you Biker, we were at Disneyworld at the end of September, and had a few pictures taken with Goofy, since he is the greatest Disney character! I know there is no real way to know, but I keep wondering. End of hijack.

Howdy, Goof.

I worked the Vero Beach Resort on Saturday mornings. Hadn't done it since March of last year. Gotta keep in mind, there are a LOT of us goofs out there...

I still need to get a picture with Safari Goofy over at Animal Kingdom. Life is more enjoyable with goals.

Comment: RE: Disney Characters/Molestation

I worked at Disneyland for 2.5yrs during college. I was "felt up" a
number of times (most frequently in Tigger) by guests usually grown women.
One group of like 8 moms think sunglasses, spandex, tank tops and each one
had a camera. The two women on either side grabbed my arms and held them
tight while one of the women kneeling in front for the picture rubbed
Tigger's chest and then lower. "Is this a guy or a girl?" "Oh it's a
guy!" My lead saw what was going on and reminded them that there were kids
around that they should move on. Funny enough the woman actually
apologized to me and said it was the most fun she'd had all day. I could
smell the booze on her breath from inside the head.

You can't move too quickly or you could injure someone that you didn't
even know was behind you. This is why you usually see characters up
against a wall during the majority of their time "on-set". It is harder
to get attacked from behind and harder to bump or run into things. We
were trained where and how to touch people so that there can be no
misconstrued actions.

Usually people that are in the park are just so happy to be there that the
inevitable injuries that happen are forgiven. I can't tell you how many
children bounced off Baloo and Brer Bear's butt. I poked a kid in the
forehead with his ballpoint pen one night trying to sign a napkin (yes he
had no paper) in Captain Hook (one hand - and I'm left handed) in the
dark in Town's Square. I felt so horrible. I got my lead to take them to
first aid to make sure there was no real damage. The mom said "Augh it's
no big deal... he does alot worse on his own."

I graduated college and gave my two weeks notice. Three days later I'm
told to go with the security guards that are waiting at the break area.
No one will talk to me. They walk me back to my locker and they watch me
dress to be sure that I don't steal anything and they walk me out of the
park and my lead tells me that I need to go to the Police station to file
a report on a guest complaint. I'm freaking out - I've had one complaint
in the last 2.5 years on my record (and it turns out that it wasn't even
me as I had traded shifts that day but it still went on my record... go
figure)I call my Character Department from Harbor House guard gate and ask
what is going on... do I need a lawyer? I don't even know what the
complaint is... They transfer me to the legal department (one of the two
largest departments in the entire company) and the lawyer says "GO TO THE
POLICE STATION. We can't comment on an ongoing investigation."

The detective at the police station informs me that if the guest complaint
had any evidence I would have been incarcerated when I arrived. The
charge is assault on a minor. He asks me if I remember strangling a child
while I was in Jafar. Nope. I'm stunned - have no idea what the heck he
is talking about. I've been jumped on, kicked, sat on, yanked by tail so
hard it broke off, and punched so hard that I went to the hospital... and
I've never retailiated. Why would I just strangle a kid for no reason?
So I proceed to write out my report 8 pages of explanation of how this
couldn't be me. That Jafar's fingers are two times as long as mine and
that the ends are all floppy hollow rubber. Turns out that the young
guest in question had surgery on his neck a couple weeks before and
apparently had bandages on his neck. (Trained never to touch those kinds
of things). He went to Disneyland only with grandma... who took the
picture. Mom and dad were getting a divorce - mom decided that it looked
like I was strangling her kid. All I can think is that she wanted custody
or money, free tickets to the park or was angry with mother-in-law... and
I just happened to get in the way.

The detective told me that if the pictures show up they will put out a
warrant to arrest me... up until the kid turned 18. I was suspended for a
whole week. No proof required. Several guest compliments, 2.5yrs of
service and no legit complaints - none of it mattered. I went back for
the last 2 days somewhat less enamored with the park.
