Urgh. As much as I like to consider myself open-minded when it comes to the things people eat in different parts of the world. The thought of eating kitties just makes me...

Although I do joke about wanting to eat my three month-old kitten. I'll hold her and snuggle her and pretend I'm chomping on her ears and little feets and I'll say, "Oh leetle kitty! You're so deelicious! You taste like candy!"

It's not the eating of cats or dogs I object to, it's the way they are treated before and during slaughter. Millions of unadopted cats are killed each year. If a cat is humanely cared for, there's not much difference in being killed because you're homeless and killed because you're a food animal (dead is dead, whatever the reason).

Sadly the west can be equally cruel (sheep transport in Europe, intensive farming methods etc); British activists have blocked lorries shipping livestock (mainly veal calves or moorland ponies) to the continent.

I'd have less problem eating a human than eating a cat.

I have no problem with their *eating* cats. My problem is with how they are sometimes prepared for dining. I've seen video of it and it's very disturbing.
