Carlos Mencia on La Llorona
Ok, I'm probably going to catch hell from everyone here for even watching him, but I was wondering about his version of the story.
The new season of "Mind of Mencia" started Sunday night, and one of his first routines was on scary stories his parents told the kids. He described La Llorona as "a crazy bitch who drowned her 3 kids for being bad." He said his parents used to say that if the kids were bad, La Llorona would get them. I know there are different versions of the legend, but I don't remember this one. He also mentioned the "cucui" (I'm guessing on the spelling here; it's pronounced "koo koo ee"), a monster that eats bad children. Never heard of this one before.
