Killing roaches

Comment: Has anyone really smashed thier TV picture screen trying to kill
the roaches in the Orkin comercial or the Dirty Jobs advert?

i can remember smashing my face on the tv for some reason when i was a kid, i smashed my front teeth right on it, i can still remember the taste, mega eww factor, but if it was due to roaches on the Orkin commercial i cant remember.

I haven't seen the Dirty Jobs commercial, but I remember when that Orkin commercial first came out and hearing about people smashing their TVs. Apparently it really did happen, several times:

Two viewers even asked the company to repair sets that they damaged when they hurled objects at the bug.

Being bugphobic is not very cost effective. *I've* had to replace a small set due to the Orkin commercial. Though I am American, I do not believe it's Orkin's fault I'm stupid, and therefore did not sue or write them. I just quietly placed the destroyed set into the trash and set out for the nearest TV Depot.

I just jumped and yelled, "What the hell? before realizing it was a commerical.

Ooh... I've had worse than the Orkin commercial. I actually shot a gun at my TV when some kind of commercial that had a tarantula in it came up. I should've had the common sense to know tarantulas do not live around here.
