Comment: Is there such a thing as "red on green" where U.S. Marines will
not eat anything that has red and green in it? My new brother inlaw would not eat a sallad that had tomatoes in it. My sister announced that it was because of "red on green, it is a Marines thing." It was indicated that it had somthing to do with blood on the uniform. I have several friends who are ex military and some are special forces and none of them have heard of this. |

First I heard of it.
My dad, my husband, my cousin, all Marines, as well as other acquaintences. I'll ask them about it but none of them have ever mentioned it. eta oh, and I guarentee you, after survival training, they would eat a red and green salad. They would eat a gray and black salad. They would eat ANYTHING.

That's one of the stupidest ULs I've ever heard... there's no truth to that.
