RSS feed opens BLANK window

On some of the articles from Snopes that I read via RSS, a blank window opens for Twitter Log Helper.

I have ignored this for a long time and finally decided to look into WHY it is happening.
1. There is a script on some of the snopes pages (usually it is)
https://syndication.twitter.com/i/jot

It is easy enough to block with an advertisement blocker. (Just add the page
to the places to block.)

However, if Snopes is to be seen as an effective medium for advertising, someone should alert those paying for the script to populate the blank page.

Since it is blank, I block it. Unattended pages can be easier to hijack and used to pass malware.
