bringing the truth to so many. I have been a fan since I saw the Reader's
Digest article some years back. I have told friends about your wonderful
webpage and yet they continue to believe every rumor that the see on the
net. I was amazed to see that you had already posted info about the Boston
marathon bombing that involved Sandy Hook victims. Again, thanks so much
for clarifying rumors and providing such wonderful reading material in

I immediately go to snopes when I am in doubt about a particular claim and

anything they read on the internet. One of my friends who used to
regularly fire off all sorts of unbelievable crap now checks "Snopes"

Comment: As an avid Facebooker, I have found myself overwhelmed with the
plague of the 'Likewhores.'

Everywhere I turn, my wall gets flooded with "Like for a dollar", "Share
to win a Mercedes", "Don't add this person, Its a virus," etc.

It's the hard work and dedication of you folks & Snopes.com that make it
easier for me to be a jerk, and crush the hopes and dreams of the idiots
still waiting for that $5,000 from Bill Gates from that "Like & Share"
from last week.

Comment: Thank you for putting together such a great site. I've used it
many times over the years usually to find what someone had sent me in an
e-mail was false and directing them to your site. I've also enjoyed
perusing the site reading stories that haven't been sent my way (yet).

Also, sorry for just submitting an e-mail you had on your site. After a
couple of unsuccessful attempts to find it on snopes.com, I submitted it,
but then found it after deciding to try searching one more time.

Comment: Thank you for having this site! Every time I see someone in an
uproar about some celebrity dissing the troops, or President Obama
exhibiting some of his "radical Muslim tendencies" I come to this site. At
least 90% of the time it's on your site. It's so much easier to just post
a snopes link than argue with conspiracy theorists. Thank you!

Comment: This just a short note to thank you for your service. I have been
a frequent user of your site for many years, and have come to rely on it
for fun and to debunk the dozens of email lies and half truths. The sad
part, is that many of my well meaning friends (and family) will send this
junk out with no concern for the truth, as long as the subject supports
their point of view or belief. Plus, as result of the “liars” attacking
you, they are convinced you are in bed with the “enemy”, whoever that may
be. As a result, most of the email I get that is of a religious or
political nature, I just delete. When I do forward it, I always check with
your site before doing so. Are you perfect ? I doubt it, nor am I. But you
guys are a lot more trustworthy than 99% of the “sheeple” who send this
stuff out ! Hang in there !

Comment: I had received an article by e-mail about NASA and the Lost Day.
I read your response to that article, and as a Christian I really
appreciated your writer's input. It gave the answer without being
degrading to Christians for wanting so badly to have concrete proof of the
