Since we can't use The Godfather.

Nelson has discovered the nice cool spot directly under the ceiling fan.

Bonsai Kitten

One of the signs of autumn in Australia ...
Josie enjoying warmth, sprawled on the bed.
(I remember similar photos last year.)
She is quite the relaxed feline.

& Good for Nelson to discover the cool spot.
He is a handsome boy.

Well, we have grieved for Groot and Artoo for a while, and BB has been missing having a companion. So I'm here to introduce Yoda!
mug shot by Christopher Rose, on Flickr
Yoda is 16 weeks old, and was rescued from a puppy mill that was going to euthanize him when they didn't sell him young enough. He is, to the best of our knowledge, an English Mastiff. He was 33 pounds the last time we weighed him, but he keeps sucking down every bit of food he can get and still has his ribs showing.
The picture was taken at the Puppy Play Date, where they take puppies from 10-16 weeks old to socialize with others. He was the biggest in his group by a couple of inches - the next closest was a German Shepard mix. We call it his mugshot picture. BB-8 is very happy to have a new friend in the house, although occasionally she gives us a look that we read as 'why do I have to babysit the puppy?'

Woof! Welcome, Yoda!

-- by the time it's time for his graduation picture, they're not going to be able to fit his pawprint on that card, are they?
