I just read that.
One role his obits have missed is his voice in a Sponge Bob episode called The Inmates of Summer. In that episode, Sponge Bob and Patrick get on a ship bound for a prison instead of one bound for summer camp. Ermey is the warden.
He was in some ads too--was it Geico?

I didn't know he'd died.

He also hosted 13 episodes of a show called "Lock N Load" for the History Channel. Each episode featured the history and features of a particular weapon, say a tank delivered in his trademark DI tough guy style.

That was back before the History Channel turned into the Hitler-was-an-Ancient-Alien-Conspiracy-Theory channel.
