Default Earworm adoption thread

Couldn't find one, so I thought I'd start a new one

We were looking at the list of reported bugs, and one bug said that one of the pages suddenly turns black if you stay on it for a while. All I could think of is

I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colors anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes

I have two worms fighting for space in my head. One for each ear
They are 'Land Down Under' by Men At Work and Hole in the Ground by Bernard Cribbins.
My brain is where novelty singles go to die.

This morning I saw the update to this thread, and now all I can think is

"I want to live like common people,
I want to do whatever common people do..."

Right now, it's Johnny Rivers' "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie-Woogie Flu."

I heard the Mentos jingle, and now it just won't leave... it's just too fresh and full of life.

Dave Brubeck's version of Take Five (which I must say is one of the LEAST irritating earworms I've had in quite some time).

Nirvana, All Apologies. It's not a bad song, but the guitar part is a bit repetitive, and after a while having Kurt Cobain's voice in your head starts to get a bit grating.

I've had "Ain't No Sunshine" rolling around in my head for days now. It was on the last episode of Raising Hope I saw, and it just won't leave!

Default Get that tune out of your head - scientists find how to get rid of earworms

Researchers claim the best way to stopping the phenomenon, sometimes known as earworms where snippets of a catchy song inexplicably play like a broken record in your brain is to solve some tricky anagrams.

Huh. I'll have to try that. The method I've heard in the past is to sing the earworm song (to yourself if appropriate) from start to finish.

I have repeat offender earworms. For no reason, they pop up if my mind is too blank for too long. They are usually "Rio" by Mike Nesmith, "Blue Bird" by Paul McCartney & the Wings, "Late in the Evening" by Paul Simon, and random songs by the Monkees, usually "Randy Scouse Git", "Saturday's Child", "Cuddly Toy" or "What Am I Doin' Hanging 'Round?" No, I have no idea why my brain prefers Monkees tunes.

Would someone like to take over exploring the universe with Eric Idle?

It's been a day or two now, and as fun as it's been, I'm getting a bit weary...

Funnily enough, TGG, last night I had the "Lumberjack Song" in my head. It's seems to be gone this morning, though.

I have both the opening and closing theme tunes for Enterprise alternating in my head. They've been doing it for day's.

Apparently my brain is in a Month Python mood today, because now I've got "The Liberty Bell March" in my head, best known as the theme song from Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Would anyone like to take Rock Lobster off my hands? It's the extended, six minute long version, too.
