THANK YOU!

Mine is a picture of a lake with mountains. I think it's Lake Lucerne (to use the tourist name) with the Alps behind. So water and rock. And there's a small motor boat.

Previous picture was red wine and chocolate cake on a DB train. I think I could go for that.

Might have to open some wine. There's no chocolate cake though.

The new economy will be based on cats sitting on perches watching the world go by.

Lewis Black went on a truly inspired tirade about how 'great' Capitalism was in one of his shows, and how some economists try to sell it to the rest of us.

To paraphrase a line from the one-man play, "Give 'em Hell, Harry!":

Quote:
If you laid economists end to end, they'd point in all directions.

(*Economies are packaged cool aid, economists just tell you where to find the water.)

*ETA to add the part from Lewis Black, which somehow disappeared from the post as I was typing it.

My 10th picture shows a bunch of kids doing a mob-style attack against a giant yellow blow-up duck in a park . The duck took some serious and imaginative abuse, but survived un-popped the entire party.

I have overthrown Capitalism and replaced it with Anarchist Communism.

Other interpretations are welcome.

My 10th picture is my tween with a fierce look in her eye riding an iron guard lion at our zoo.

So after the fall of capitalism I assume that we have devolved into a dystopia of the Hunger Games combined with Voltron.

Lion riding children fighting -> ? -> Profit!

Mine is an alligator, so I guess we are going back to the swamp?

In other words, business as usual.

The new economy in my world will be based on fraternal organizations. The 10th picture is of the dais at the Pythian Temple in Tacoma.

So long as these fraternal organizations admit women on an equal par (making them not fraternal, I suppose), I believe an economy based on Brotherhood, Charity and Fidelity would be a good thing.

If the duck had popped, it would have become Marxism (Duck Soup, a movie by the Marx Brothers).

No, it would have been severe deflation.

The nice thing is: this can be down again and again!

Today, and judging from my phone, my post-capitalism-economy is based on young men (as in: five years old) dressed in flower-printed loud shirts, paisley shorts and "Frozen" socks.

It will be a colourful world for sure!
