Maybe I'm weird or ignorant, but I have to say, before the advent of the Internet, I never knew circumcision was such a heated issue. It seems the two guaranteed thread-derailing topics are circumcision and abortion and while abortion wasn't news to me, the circumcision one was. But then again, you don't hear about a lot of whackos standing outside children's hospitals or synagogues with signs, picketing. So maybe my ignorance is a little forgivable.

Well, unlike abortion, which has remained an active hot button topic for decades, circumcision is more of a thing that, while there, only flares up every so often. Kinda like herpes.
