At 90 there are many things I can't remember, however I never forget that I was born two blocks frowhere America's first Noble Prize winner was born! My parents knew him and he was entertained at a Sauk Center country club - I don't know if it still exists - I was born n 1926 and left Minnesota for Michigan in 1942.

This actually raises an interesting question. The earliest American Nobel Prize winner I could find was Teddy Roosevelt (1906), who was not born within two blocks of any part of Minnesota.

Maybe there was an earlier one I couldn't find?
