Reporter Match Game for the Holidays

Since I don't have to go to work due to the snowstorm (or what passes for one in Iowa; a foot of snow is a warm summer day in Upstate NY), and since it's been a while since I've done one, I'm happy to say...

Welcome to another edition of MATCH GAME! This edition's theme: The Holidays!

Not sure how the game works? Here are the rules:

1. I enlist six snopesters to act as Panelists for the contest. This position is unpaid; however, bribery is encouraged.
2. I will PM the Panelists a copy of the five questions for this series. The Panelists will PM me their answers, hopefully before the end of the first round. (hint hint)
3. I will post one round of questions at a time, beginning on Thursdays and Mondays. This gives you three days to answer, or four days for you weekday snopesters who are playing Match Game on your employers' dime.
4. Contestants post their answers in this thread; for each Panelist answer they match, they receive one point.
5. Except in the fifth round, that is; that round is worth a random amount between 2 and 5 points. Contestants must have participated (not necessarily scored) in the first four rounds to qualify for the bonus amount.
6. Answers that require determination will be given to my flatmate for final verdict, and he's a lot more generous than my wife was.
7. In case of tornado: southwest corner of cellar.
8. Winners will be determined by the amount of points awarded, obviously.

This series' prize package includes:
An official Mayan 2013 calendar!
A solid gold coin commemorating the selection of Susan Rice as Secretary of State!
One thousand shares of Omni Consumer Products, Inc!
(notice: Employees, moderators, owners, members and anyone who has ever heard of snopes.com are ineligible for prize package)

So with that said, who would like to volunteer to be a Panelist?

Me, sir! I'll be a firm (but fair) panelist.

If I am a panelist, will I be allowed to use my power for ill and not good?

With great power comes great opportunity.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth. And to be a panelist, please!

Excellent, if by "fair" you mean you'll accept bribes in any major currency.

Not only is it allowed, it's mandatory!

As long as your answers also feature an adorable lisp.

You'll shoot your eye out, kid. But that's just more reason to have you onboard.

We have four, only two openings remain.

...And with that, we end the first round! Here are the responces from the esteemed panelists:

I think that Santa hasn't been keeping up with the modern technology. I asked him for something that will let me keep in touch with my family, and he left a (BLANK) under my tree.

Roadie: Carrier pigeon
Minstrel: Carrier pigeon
Seaboe Muffinchucker: Extra hand
GenYus234: Telegraph
SatansHobbit: Homing pigeon
rangerdog: CB radio

So with that, let's see what our scoreboard looks like:

Beachlife!: 3 pts.
diddy: 3 pts.
greenfrog78: 1 pt.

Hmm, not great, but it's still early. Perhaps this round will shake things up:

***Dumb Dora is so dumb, ["How dumb is she?"] she tried to (BLANK) the Yule Log TV program***

Good Luck, and have your answers in by Monday!
