Default 25 Hilarious Animal Photobombs

I think we've seen some of these before, but some are new. (Also, some are fake.) I searched the main site for the chipmunk and the walrus, though, and couldn't find them there.

Animal Photobombs

Quote:
We all know animals have senses of humor. It's why cats throw up on the floor right where you step barefoot each morning, and it's why dogs decide they want to go out for a walk right when it starts pouring rain. But when pets aren't pulling these pranks, they fill up their free time with photobombing, i.e. popping their cute faces unexpectedly into other people's pictures. And we have to admit, they are pretty darn good at it.

This one seems rather suspect to me. If the goose wasn't the intended subject of the photo, why is it the only thing in the frame that's in focus?

A lot of them seemed that way to me.

Like the one with the walrus.

If the walrus wasn't supposed to be there, why are the two guys looking in it's direction?

Autofocus on cameras will almost always grab whatever is closest. That's just how they're designed to work. To focus on whatever is closest and has enough contrast, since that is how the average snapshot tends to look.

That's why when I shoot, I still use autofocus, but I tell the camera where to focus by using the focus point that is closest to what I want in focus. I have 9 focus points on my camera & scroll between them to choose the one I want based on my composition. That was the 1st thing I set up in my camera, rather than using the default of letting the camera choose where to focus.

Yep. That's why when I saw a herd of deer--three of them--passing outside my office window one drizzly day I grabbed my camera and took a crystal-clear photo of raindrops on my window, with the deer three indeterminate brownish blobs in the background.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the picture to make sense? I'm seeing a railing that seems to disappear, something that looks like a curb or wall but you can see the ocean through it, and a whale that is breaching with no sign of disturbance in the water. OK, I'm calling Photoshop, but I'm no expert.

I don't think you can see any water (except puddles) - the grey stuff is a car park or something, and the water is meant to be in a channel behind that with some dunes in the background. The railing might just end behind the gull.

It still looks pretty dubious though. I can't believe that any channel in the space between that railing and the dunes would be wide or deep enough for a humpback whale to do that.

Yeah, there's no way that last one is real. The perspective is completely off, as well as what's already been mentioned.

But it is, kind of! I'm convinced that many of the original post photos are somehow fakes. I think your post fits right in.
