I once found Jimmy Hoffa, Hitler, and Elvis in the tool shed. I think Bigfoot was in there too but he hid behind the mower.

This kind of stuff has been going on since the Middle Ages (claiming works are religious icons, things that Jesus touched, wore, died in, and his disciples and the Saints owned). Read The Canterbury Tales or the historical mysteries that are set in that time like Bro. Cadfael, Dame Fevyisse, or Sister Fidelma. It's interesting that gullibility doesn't change over the centuries. In fact I wonder if people haven't gotten more gullible over the issue-because the religious fanatics want to use these items, to point out to non-belivers, that "see they do prove that the events in the Bible were real!"

You mean the former owner of this inn I bought who claimed "Jesus Slept Here" might have not been telling me the entire truth?

Is that the Inn where Jesus walked in put three nails on the counter and said "Can you put me up for the night?"

I stayed there once but everytime I took a shower the water turned to wine. I was drunk for days.

And that was the clincher for me. But if you think soap scum is a hassle to clean out of a tub, you've never had to clean a cabernet sauvignon.

This is one of the most wonderful amazingly hilarious sentences I have ever read in my life. My laptop hates you, my mouth wants the drink back, but my liver thinks you're a darn good bloke.

How do they know they were Jesus' nails though, and not Brian's? Were they signed "Them's upon which I hang, Jesus (the real one, really!)"?

Yep, and I've got the third one. I use it to stir the cocktails I prepare in the Holy Grail.

No, not the Roma. I saw the nails on ebay one time though. Maybe that's where this guy found them.

Okay they may have been ancient nails and since they were in a tomb, they were probably used for crucifixion, but does that necessarily mean they were Jesus'. Rome crucified a lot of people during that time, it was their execution of choice. He wasn't the only one.

Because when people hit their thumb, they don't yell "Elvis Presley that hurt!"
