Spit Take Lou Dobbs: Trump 'pretty close to perfect'

While talking with Hannity, they agreed that:
Quote:
"Well, he's pretty close to perfect, Sean," Dobbs responded. "He's worked his tail off. Still is. Meanwhile, taking care of national defense, national security and all the challenges that aren't on the Trump agenda. I mean, it's truly remarkable what he's doing and the credit he's not receiving for what he's done."
I just don't understand the world any more.

I don't know that it is that new, Dictionary.com says that "sycophant" appeared with its current meaning in the 1570's.

Dear Mr. Dobbs,
I have been requested by the Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens to contact you for assistance in resolving a matter. The Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens has recently been informed that Mexico is required by NAFTA to Build the Wall per Trump's orders. The Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens has privately raised free market funds of US$400,000,000 for this purpose. The Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens desires to complete this wall quickly to avoid further economic damage to the god-fearing people of Mexico, however, because of certain regulations of the communist Federal Mexican Government, it is unable to move these funds to another region.

Your assistance is requested as a non-Mexican citizen to assist the Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens, and also the Central Bank of Mexico, in moving these funds out of Mexico. If the funds can be transferred to your name, in your United States account, then you can forward the funds as directed by the Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens. In exchange for your accommodating services, the Council of Concerned Mexican Citizens would agree to allow you to retain 10%, or US$40 million of this amount.

However, to be a legitimate transferee of these moneys according to Mexican law, you must presently be a depositor of at least US$100,000 in a Mexican bank which is regulated by the Central Bank of Mexico.

Please call me at your earliest convenience at 044 55 867 5309. Time is of the essence in this matter; very quickly the Mexican Government will realize that the Central Bank is maintaining this amount on deposit, and attempt to levy certain depository taxes on it.

Yours truly,
Ricardo Walltobán

Donald Trump certainly deserves respect for realising that the presidency of the USA (not being entirely symbolic) was harder than his previous job as the autocratic controller of various family businesses. This shows that he is still learning things, as he evidently has been during his presidency so far, such as health care being complicated, Mars being further away than the Moon, and Hawaii being an island.

I shouldn't make fun of him - there must be lots of people who are confused by these things and yet find themselves accidentally in charge of a world superpower. I know I've almost been there. Also I'm drunk.

How many of you suspect that Lou Dobbs writes Real Person Pornographic Fanfics about Donald Trump, much in the way, Trump probably writes ones about Putin? In fact, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if some of Trump's executive orders didn't have "Trump+Putin=LOVE" written in the margins.

Maybe I'm the only person reading those kinds of overtones into it, but their starry-eyed worship of hypermasculinity and strength, makes it difficult* for me not to. Though I freely admit to being a drooling pervert, so my testimony probably can't be trusted.

*I almost typed "makes it hard" but then I realized that line, combined with the post's content...the puns would never stop.

While not a superpower, this is EXACTLY how I ended up in charge of East Germany back in the late 80's. I made some stupid comments about how damned simple it would be to just dig up West Berlin and move the whole thing across the border to West Germany or maybe all the way to France if you really wanted to keep them separate. All of the sudden I find myself over there and trying to get enough trucks and backhoes to start this project.

I only lasted about five days, though, because I was fifteen at the time and had to get back to school after spring break.

I think I've seen Ricardo announcing "rich Mexican pfleather" several years ago on television. Or maybe it was a relative of his with a similar sounding name...

Some of the callers to the talk show I listen to have suggested corporations funding the wall's construction. Others have suggested that people buy bricks for said wall, like various local organizations do for veterans' monuments etc. Now I don't think any self-respecting corporation would want its name on this particular wall, but it would be very interesting to see how many wall supporters would actually put their money where their mouths are.

He actually said "soft Corinthian leather," and the answer is, nothing.

I'm wondering if we should suggest people buy bricks, but have them say things like "Trump is a Nfbsking idiot!" or "Trump's penis is so small, it cannot be perceived with the naked eye." Though on the side facing Mexico, maybe we can have messages about Trump in Spanish, something like, "Sorry about this. We would rather have a million of you, rather than one of Donald Trump." But however satisfying this may be in a juvenile sort of way, even if we put insulting messages on the bricks, we'd still be paying for the wall.

Though it would be interesting if the whole Wall BS ground to a halt because in a fight between his supporters' bigotry and avarice, avarice won out.

I've heard that in Congress, conservatives who represent districts that the Wall would have to be built in are universally opposed to it.

I Know Ricardo Montalban talked about Corinthian leather, but I don't see this Ricardo peddling foreign goods when he's obviously trying to raise funds to pay for the Mexican wall..

Buy a brick, use a Sharpie to write your message(s) on it, then mail it to the White House. The shipping costs to send them all to the wall would make it unlikely they would actually be used for that.

Twelve bucks now, they are out of stock on the standard brick. But they have a 10% discount for sending bricks to the US Capitol. Maybe we can get them to add the White House.

I'd suggest a nice, solid soundproof wall around the Oval Office.
