Icon106 Baffling Brisbane and the Mt Tamborine piano mystery

Quote:
Travelling down from Mt Tamborine on the road to Beenleigh, around halfway down, drivers are suddenly struck by the sight of a piano which looks to have been left on the side of a hill. On closer inspection it turns out to be a strangely shaped rock which has been painted as a piano. It's part of local folklore, but the mystery is, how did it get to be this way? It's been there for at least 50 years, but looks to be as fresh as if it had been painted just yesterday. What's going on? Time to call in the G man.

Just a quaint little story about a mysterious piano which has been sitting precariously on the edge of a cliff above a road since the late 1960s.
