United States Donald Trump's bogus claim that millions voted illegally for Hillary Clinton

Shortened the long headline.

Donald Trumpís bogus claim that millions of people voted illegally for Hillary Clinton

Quote:
Our colleagues at Snopes.com and PundiFact have already examined this claim, back when it was hot in the right-wing blogosphere, not a statement made by a future U.S. president. The whole thing started with a few tweets by Gregg Phillips, a self-described conservative voter fraud specialist.

Put up or shut up, Trump. If there is any shred of evidence of this, we're all ears.

Thing is, as soon as there's a chance of a recount he's panicking and Tweeting all night. I think this is another of his 'frantically accuse others of things he himself does/is'.

I'd say it is a better example that his brain lacks the critical "just let it go" part. Whether or not his claim is true, it wouldn't affect that fact that he has the most pledged electoral voters and is the President-elect. But his ego can't let him accept that he didn't win the popular vote, so he has to claim that he won the popular vote too.

If you follow it through he's almost doing what he said he'd do all along, and not accepting the result of the election because he thinks it's fraudulent...

What's he actually intending to happen? People to take him seriously and demand a recount and an inquiry (which would clearly have to be into more than just the bits that one of the candidates has claimed are fraudulent)?

To borrow a phrase from Brexit, "You won. Get over it."

In another article I read it said Trump is "saddened" that Clinton is taking part in the request for a recount. Saddened? This is the man who before the election said he would not concede defeat should Clinton win But then this is just more of the same - one rule for Trump another for everyone else.

I've said this before, but he reminds me (painfully) of an abusive narcissist ex. The ex displayed both these behaviors.

Maybe he just means that these are people who have ancestors who immigrated from the wrong nations, and so won't be citizens for long, and so hey, why should their votes count now?
