That's not even a convincing fake, neither the scale nor the focus of the cat matches the rest of the picture.

I'm pretty sure Black Panther was shown in plenty of Aussie cinemas, so there's no need to fake a sighting...

I'm very very certain I could make a better hoax - I could make a large poseable model panther covered in fake fur and just photograph it, no photo manipulation required. I was really tempted to run a hoax along those lines years ago but I decided I didn't want to perpetuate the cryptozoology craze.

I don't think you could. As I hear it, most of your constructions have issues with the scale being off.
