Japanese Blogger Points Out Timeline Flaw In Supposed Earhart Photo

I could have sworn there was a thread about this photo; but if so I can't find it.

Anyway, here's either an update or a starter:

A Japanese military history buff has found library records showing a photo supposedly depicting Amelia Earhart survived a crash landing in 1937 was actually published two years before the famous aviator vanished.

Thanks for posting this. I assumed it would be a matter of time before this was debunked. Anyone can see the person in that photo is Anastasia Romanov.

The claim that she was captured by the Japanese is an old one that resurfaces every few years. I heard it in school 30+ years ago. To be honest, if she was a man she'd have been forgotten about decades ago. Dozens (hundreds) of people disappeared in the early days of aviation.
