At least two of Angel's kittens are beginning to open their eyes. They're all still pretty wobbly, but Angel is a patient momma kitty and doesn't seem to mind the occasional kitten crawling over her head or bumping into her when the others are feeding.

On the Fonts side, Charlie's been adopted (no surprise, really). He's due to be picked up Wednesday, March 8.

Hi All:

Well, Charlie has left the building! The adopter came and picked up the frantic little orange fuzzball this afternoon. From such a sad beginning, he's now going down to Texas to be a vet's friend.

In other Academy news, the Fonts will be graduating next week (i.e., a visit to the vet for shots, chips and snips).

Finally, Angel's Fish, the kittens born last week, are just starting to open their eyes. They certainly complain enough any time Angel gives them a bath

A little while ago Angel Mama was getting some petting and a big bowl of food. Thus distracted, the hooman was able to sneak in an iPhone and get some close-ups of the squirming pile of kittens off to the side.

Garamond and Wingdings are sacked out with Mama Arial. I guess they aren't quite weened yet, but the kittens are so cute sleeping in a pile with mom.

If you go the to the Kitten Academy Youtube site, there are 15 minute videos of the little fishes for each night this week. My favourite of these has the Fish being weighted - in a fish and chip container.

The Fonts are often in a cuddle puddle with Arial. By the by, Gary and Zapf are already adopted (as a pair). The whole clan will be off to the vet's next week for their "graduation". I image that Baskerville and Zapf will be off to their new home soon after that.

Then we'll have some six weeks of good fishing to watch

OMG I can see the fuzzy jelly beans. One of them just yawned. [ded]

ETA: One of them looks like a dilute calico. I had one years ago (technically it was my ex's cat). I've lived with a lot of cats over the years, and loved them all, but some of them were exceptional, and she's on that list.

Yesterday, we had the first official Angel's Fish kitty wrestling bout (or at least the first that wasn't over a place in the food line or the cuddle puddle). In the blue corner, weighing 9.05 ounces, wearing the black and white trunks, Killer Trout. And in the red corner, weighing a massive 10 ounces, wearing the grey tabby trunks, Hammering Halibut.

I guess you have to join twitter in order to see it. If I don't have the site's scripts enabled, it won't play. If I do enable them, the video's almost entirely covered by a large box telling me to sign in or sign up.

I don't see that particular video on the non-twitter page, either. Guess I'll have to settle for the live stream (or my own live cats.)
