Cool late Xmas gift, Purrl: a new family! She looks like she's going to be a fluffy cat.

Not a pet in the traditional sense (he doesn't live in the house, nor does he curl up in my lap!), but here is my horse, doing his best "Blue Steel"

I hope you all had a great time! I rarely miss the Maryland show! Hope you were able to catch the Muttville Comix show. ![]() |

wanderwoman, purrl is very cute -- and yes, it can be tough to get a non-blurry pic of a kitten!
The story of how you got her reminds me of my friend's kitty Scout, although Purrl seems to have been in better shape. Yay for kitty rescuers! |

Sid, I just gave you a nose "boop!" through the computer screen. Hope I didn't digitally zap it.

Some of our crew:
Beatrice, my baby: The late, great Jake, who just passed away at 19: Pierette the bed hog: Bea in her holiday elf costume: Amber the reindeer: Peanut, who sleeps IN our bed (inside the frame): ETA: weird, pics don't seem to be loading. Any ideas why? Never had issues with pics before. |

My job on the side is petsitting, and volunteering for a local dog rescue. The dog on the left is Churchill, a rather large (230 pounds!) mastiff who belongs to one of the founders of the rescue. The dog on the right is Bear, a Great White Pyrenees who came from an unknown, but very abusive background.
Bear does not like other dogs, at all, and has been savaging at Churchill since he came into the house. It has taken strenuous work, lots of positive reinforcement, a few fast grabs, and one frighteningly memorable instance of having to wrestle Bear down to the ground, but today a truce was struck. Long may it last. ![]() \o/ ![]() |

Well done LadyLockeout. Bear still seems to be keeping eye on Churchill though.
