Yeah I wondered about that. Our labs have varied greatly in size and the breed tends to fat. But we were always told that as long as they had a distinct waist, they weren't too fat. I couldn't see a waist on that dog (granted it wasn't proberly wasn't the best angle).

No I have had another look, she definatly needs to lose a few.

Why have they organised it alphabetically by the dog's name and not alphabetically by breed.

You wouldn't from any angle. Labs are one of the few breeds (along with Bulldogs) in which I will say there needs to be GREAT progress made in terms of the conformation dogs we exhibit, title, and breed. For the most part, the dogs in the conformation ring are quite able to do the job for which they were developed. Even the Poodles are still very capable of retrieving game, although a Poodle straight out of the breed ring would look a sight after a water retrieve.

The Rat Terrier has the same seperation in the UKC - the longer legged ones are Rat Terriers and the shorter legged ones are Teddy Roosevelt Terriers.

I liked the NYT BOB pictures. The Boston Terrier and the French Bulldog both look terrific, as does the Welsh Springer Spaniel. I got a kick out of the fact they couldn't get the Manchester Terrier to sit still. edit: And the fact the Dogue was drooling all over the place.
