Memorize the PIN of your debit card. You have had it for over a year now. No, you don't use it much, and you try to avoid it whenever possible- but sometimes you need it, and that's awkward.

It's another forum, obviously. It has a noted ideological bent that I disagree with but I go there to see what the other side thinks.

It turns out they don't.

Put a stop to a problem when it leaps out of the gate. Donít wait. It wonít go away on its own and the longer you do wait, the more traction it gains.

It's really not a big deal and everything will be fine. Don't let the old anxieties start hooking back on.

If you are baking cookies and you intentionally make them smaller than the recipe stipulates then don't keep them in the oven as long as the recipe stipulates! That I have to tell myself this is beyond irritating. What a waste of time and ingredients .

IMO there's a difference between disagreeing but not being disagreeable and disagreeing with the other side and thinking that they are stupid, immoral, etc. Sounds like you encountered the latter.

And then they bemoan the lack of diverse viewpoints. I can't imagine why people don't stick around after being called traitors and worse.

Neither can I; it's not like that's an epithet or anything.

Stop poisoning yourself with 'What If's.

If something turns out to be a problem, it can only be faced once it happens. Stressing about it beforehand, even if it turns out to be a real issue, only means you're suffering through the same problem twice.

I like the expression "borrowing trouble" to describe fretting about something that may not even happen. I'm prone to doing it too.

I'm borrowing some borrowed trouble! I like to stockpile trouble in case life gets too easy.

Uh... apparently, my trouble dealer wants the trouble he loaned me back. Can I have back the trouble you borrowed from me, please? He gets kinda scary when my trouble gets past due.

It's... troubling.

aaand that's where the word "trouble" stopped making sense to me.

The way I've heard it is "trouble borrowed is repaid with interest."

Do not pick things up by their lids. You can't be sure the lid is secure (my dog loved my lunch).
