The black and blue one (hunting) and the final gold one look like women dressed for a ball. I never thought I'd check out an octopus for fashion tips.

They are pretty amazing. After reading this and another Nat. Geo. article, it seems surprising that octopuses could develop such a level of intelligence when they are so short-lived and live such isolated lives. Why develop curiosity and the ability to engage with other life forms when you spend almost your entire life alone?
