Yow! Don't Call This 12-Year-Old Concert Pianist a Prodigy

Musician Emily Bear has composed more than 350 pieces for the piano. She's recorded six albums, performed at the White House and Carnegie Hall, and worked closely with her mentor, music legend . And get this: She's 12.

I heard part of her story on NPR this morning. Amazingly talented young lady. Her mom reports her showing signs of her talent at 12 months old when she would sing back her mothers songs with perfect pitch. They also played a piece she composed at 4 and it was to my ear an interesting and entertaining bit.
