I saw the Paul Revere one last night. The snack in question is the Oscar Mayer P3, and is meat, nuts, and cheese. I think that Lunchables are Oscar Mayer as well, so like Jay said, the grown up version.

Audi has a new commercial that recreates the big attack scene in Hitchcock's The Birds using black 6 rotor helicopters.

Horse Chestnut: I think someone had been watching Police Squad! It always ended with a gag that depended on everyone else freezing.

I saw an ad a couple hours ago for Vonage phone service (which, coincidentally, was a banner ad at Snopes a couple screens ago). They mention the features that are available, one of which is blocking unwanted numbers. They show a telemarketer (or similar person in a call center) waving his hands angrily that he didn't get through. I like that he wasn't over the top.

The Amazon ad where the arrow mouths on its boxes sing "Give a Little Bit".

The song itself makes a good commercial, but it is the little bits like when the boxes go "wheeee!" as they slide down a sorting chute or when they say "Hi" when they accidentally bump into each other that puts it over the top.

The Sling commercials with Danny Trejo are funny.

Though I've heard a lot of bad things about Progressive as an insurance company over the years, I tend to like their ads, such as the lactose intolerance one, and more recently, the one with the woman whose husband is turning into his mother. It's the little sounds that make that one for me: "Hmm." "Hmm." "Hmm."

New York Lottery's "Bodega Cat" ad. I love the way he hails the bus. My only problem: Did that cat pay for that lottery ticket?

He earned it, along with his kibble and smooshy food, for being such a good mouser.

The "turning into your parents" ones are great, they're funny without being mean-spirited.

Heart and Stroke has a commercial with Joannie Rochette and it makes me cry every time it's on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5InGRMqL6U

If you're not familiar with her, Joannie is a Canadian figure skater. Her mother died a couple of days before Joannie won a medal at the Vancouver Olympics. I was a complete mess when she finished her long program.

As a woman who appears to be turning into her father, I really enjoy them.

"I find myself telling strangers that defense wins championships."
"Well, it does."

I'm noticing a trend of more ads/promotional pictures featuring gay couples. I just caught one of those "romantic getaway" commercials on TV and one of the couples were two women. It's stupid I even have to say this but it was also cool that they were framed in a romantic rather than sexualized way.

This ad also featured an interracial couple where the man is black and the woman is white, which I don't think I've seen too often.

It's not airing anymore, but last month Toyota featured an ad where the spokeswoman was standing next to a life sized hour glass. As the end of the ad, you still see the hour glass--and her running up to it to grab it. Great optical illusion!

Not really the commercials themselves, but I actually like the WayFair jingles.

It uses a tired old trope, but I think this one is funny.

It is nice that Allstate has brought back Mayhem, even if I wonder if this isnít a case of Misaimed Fandom. Iím not supposed to find Mayhem to be so damn hot that I wouldnít mind having a little Mayhem in my life.

I like the Mayhem commercials except for the one about the cell phone under the seat. That's just stupid.
