No

Not for all of them, and definitely not that one.

I've been working on a KoL costume for a while, and finally got enough of the pieces finished to wear it in the Cosplay contest at Renton City Comic-Con (not a comics fan but this was the closest any convention has ever been to our house) over the weekend. It's not finished, and some of the elements need tweaking, plus my husband will have a costume and a role in the ultimate stage presentation, but you don't get to do "skits" at comic-cons, apparently.

I was a female Disco Bandit with my familiar, a Sabre-Toothed Lime and his tiny shaker of salt. I wore an orange peel hat, a tuxedo shirt, and a flowing hippy skirt, accessorized with blackberry moccasins, a polka-dot bow tie, and an Order of the Silver Wossname. On my back, a Buddy Bjorn containing a Blood-Faced Volleyball with a palm-frond toupee. I was armed with a duct tape sword and a star buckler.

One of the other contestants recognized the source, if not the outfit. I don't think anyone else had the remotest clue wtf I was. But I had fun!

How fun!

I have dove into Kingdom of Loathing recently. It's been a fun little game. I keep running out of turns every night.

If I may suggest, add tights and arm sleeves of white with a single black line down the center.

I considered that but 1) there wasn't time to get it all done for this event anyway, and 2) I'd want to do something with my face to make it match, either makeup or a head covering hood, and (see 1).

Come join us in Clan Snopes; I think you have to make it up to Level 3 first (but I could be wrong). There's lots of helpful stuff in our stash, including things to help you expand your daily play.

Did you get drunk? Getting drunk always allows me to get more done that day.

ETA: Up to a point that is.

FETA: Do you have an ushanka and a donkey?

I've also seen slightly better versions of the same concept.

I am a level 9 seal clubber.

Well it seemed like I had lots of food and booze at first, now it seems to be slowing down a bit.

I have also managed to get pretty drunk without crossing into blackout territory. However, I think I've been trying to figure out where the line is where it impairs my abilities.

I was doing poorly at a pool game that I needed to win because I needed to drink enough to enhance my abilities, but drinking too much impaired my pool-sharkiness.

Some consider it cheating, or spoiling the fun, but there is the KOL Wiki that will answer all your KOL related questions. Your personal limit for drunkeness and how it is affected by skills, paths and items you can learn here, for example.

ETA: I meant to say: Tootsie, what a fun costume! Did you send a picture to the KOL guys? It may net you some benefits, and it will certainly make their day!

I'm will, but I'm going to wait until the whole thing is complete. I'm planning to enter at a small local (regular SF) con in January.

khisanth, we can also Whitelist you if you're happy where you currently are, but want to participate in clan stuff when you're in the mood.

Tootsie -

I have applied (I think).

Don Enrico -

Thank you! I have been using the guide pretty extensively to try and figure out how to craft things from the myriad things in my inventory.

The crafting seems to get rather complex.
