A Canadian man who wanted to confuse snow removers with a car he made entirely of snow, fooled the police instead.

Police

Since the "car" didn't have a license plate, it would have been difficult for them to give it a real ticket, but I'm glad they left a note.

He apparently called for back up
I'd bet the call was closer to, "Dude! You gotta check this out!"

Yep. And I don't know that we have any reason to think he really fooled them, since it was a note and not a real parking ticket.

He based his car sculpture on a DeLorean, so obviously the license plate should have read OUTATIME.

Most of the DeLoreans I've seen with referential plates have 88MPH or a variation such as 8T8MPH

I'm surprised to see that "made [one's] night" translates literally between English and French -- or at least Quebecois French.

Well, not quite - I read it as "made our evening". Which also works in English, but isn't the same as "made our night".
