My bro-in-law's cousins checked in. They are all okay. One family member lost everything in the flooding, but other family members have pulled together to help her out. They are okay because they were well prepared, and told us not to worry. However, I think that is still reliant on everything getting back up and running again soon.

I was just in San Juan for vacation a few months ago. It's a great city with great people.

Well, at least Trump tossed survivors some paper towels during his visit, so I'm sure they'll be OK. What else could they possibly need?

Cans of Chicken. He wanted to throw those as well.

This part really peeved me. He really is just so clueless.

“Wait,” Trump said, “you put it in dirty water?”
“And then you can drink it after 10 to 12 hours,” she explained.
“Would you do it? Would you drink it?” he asked.
“Sure,” she said.
“Really?” Trump said, a disgusted look coming across his face.
“Really,” she said.
“Is this your company or something?” Trump asked the woman, seeming suspicious of the aggressive pitch.

Think? Why the heck should he have to think. He has people for that.

Trump's a jerk as always, but I know people far less privileged and clueless than he is who won't consider drinking water from a tap unless it's filtered. A co-worker is disgusted by the idea of drinking from a water fountain -- in the headquarters of our Fortune 100 employer -- because "that's the same water that goes to the toilet."

Roll eyes

I've rolled my eyes so much that their muscles are pulled.
I guess he'll now blame God/the tectonic plates for placing Puerto Rico in the path of a hurricane.

Unnnhhhhhhhhhhhh (that's the combo nation low groan/growly noise that I make when I hear stupid stuff from Dear Leader)

In bottles, as God intended. Probably glass bottles etched with his name in gold leaf.

Stephen Colbert had a great response to that clip: "It's the only water they've got. Sort of like their President."

Really we should all accept that Donald Trump is basically the narrator in Weird Al’s Why Does This Always Happen to me? It so encapsulates Trump. Heck, he’s practically acting out one of the lyrics where a major disaster has left an island of three million citizens without running water or electricity, and all he can do is whine about how much money it’s costing him.

About the only lyric that doesn’t work, is the one about stabbing the boss in the face. While Trump would totally whine about how the bones in the victim’s face bent the blade and made it so it would never be as sharp again, at the same time, actually stabbing someone would require effort and work ethic he doesn’t have. If Trump wanted to stab someone, he would stand somewhere with a knife and wait for you to repeatedly run into his blade. When you opt not to, he’d throw a hissy on Twitter about what a wuss you are for refusing to run into Trump’s knife.

The tl;dr: we ought to see if we can get the White House band to play Weird Al’s song instead of the traditional “Hail to the Chief.”

If we're going to play a Weird Al song for Dump, it should either be Word Crimes or Dare To Be Stupid.

I dunno. Remember it’s not enough that Donald Trump is stupid. He is also completely lacking in any work ethic and delights in petty cruelties. Would you say “Word Crimes” or “Dare to Be Stupid” encapsulates that aspect of Trump?

I don't think Weird Al ever wrote any songs that accurately describe Dump.

Here's one that kinda does.

I recently had a guest go ballistic on me for suggesting that she use tap water for her coffee-maker. I was really unprofessional to even suggest that. It was incredibly inappropriate to even say that. And so forth.

I filed it under "loony" and ignored her berating.

I suppose it would be considered unprofessional of you to draw yourself up and tell her that it was unprofessional and incredibly inappropriate of her to impugn X city's water and all those of X city's hardworking employees who made sure it was safe and got it to the tap.

(If she just didn't want chlorine in her coffee water, that's one thing. But to rant at you as if you'd suggested she scoop it out of the toilet bowl is another.)
