A "goat and herb omelet" is not the same thing as a "goat cheese and herb" omelet.

And definitely don't have a "goat and Herb omelet"!

A baseball team can’t “fire” a manager whose contract is up at the end of the season. It can, however, choose not to re-sign him.

OK, fire, decline to renew, run out on a rail, whatever. It's sports radio, not English or Business Law class. They should send Dusty packing one way or another

I imagine it's a typo on their website. I'll be eating there Monday, I should check to see if it's on their printed menus, too.

It was Facebook, and they were talking about Joe Girardi.

If you are eating out in a restaurant and want to watch something on your phone rather than talk to your companion, fine, knock yourself out but for gods sake do you have to have the volume up so loud people two tables away (ME) can hear it? If I want to watch TV while I eat I'll stay home thank you very much.

There was no plane filled with money flown to Iran. Some Iranian accounts that had been frozen were released, but it was all electronic and it was their money to begin with. Nobody paid Iran anything and there weren't any physical exchanges.

So this is false? http://www.npr.org/2016/08/03/488568...n-cash-to-iran. Do you have a cite? Not a plane filled with money, granted. But also not all electronic.

Hadn't actually heard about that.

But neither had the person I was arguing with, who thought that the US was just providing planes of free cash to Iran. Far as I knew, the only money going from the US to Iran was money that had been frozen since the 70s.

Conservative hecklers shutting down a speaker is every bit as bad as liberal hecklers shutting down conservative speakers. How are you folks any different from the people you castigate?

Seems like the difference is that none of their money went to pay the speaker they're opposing. And they're opposing people who aren't pro-racism and pro-misogyny.

When you call into a radio talk show, you cannot monopolize the conversation you have with the host. I believe the host of the show I listen to calls it 'dialogue'.

@ Crockoduck_Hunter: the hecklers are just as snowflakey though!

For the short time I was listening to talk radio in this area (back in the mid 90's - the OJ Simpson trial era, specifically) we had the converse situation with one radio host. Callers would barely get a word in before the host would go off on a rant until the next commercial break. Thus ended my brief flirtation with talk radio.

No, they're worse. People who protested against Milo Yiannopoulos have legitimate reasons to oppose him, like his habit of using such forums to threaten harm against gay and transgender college students.

These twits are just using knee-jerk opposition to everything they don't like.

I can see your Outlook calendar when I schedule meetings. You might consider that before you lie to me about what's on it.

ETA: On the off chance that you're not lying: Your schedule should be maintained on your Outlook calendar. That's what it's for. If you need to keep something private, you can do that in Outlook. But maintaining a stealth schedule is poor practice and a real PITA for your co-workers. I get that you don't have many scheduled events on your calendar, but that just makes it easier to keep them entered.

Putting a potted plant in the sink to soak doesn't work very well if the pot doesn't have any holes in the bottom.

Yo, Bossman,

Quit telling clients they should be glad they are not living in Europe where they have to pay 40% for taxes because of socialized medicine.

Especially after you just notified that my cost for employer provided health insurance will increase 40% next year.

If I add the cost of my health insurance to my income and payroll taxes I pay about 41%. That does not include the deductible ($3K for me and $3K for my wife) and co-pays. And I did have to wait almost two months for surgery.

I have been telling you since the ACA was passed how you could save money on health insurance and how your employees could save money and get a better plan (lower deductible). Everyone would be happy. The plan I have told you about is legal and used by several of my clients as well as small businesses around the country.

You are a CPA. You really should understand how the numbers work out.
