But... but Australians keep telling us they aren't like that! What happened?!

I kept thinking it was going to be a beer advert. Or is it in fact a beer advert?

Haven't seen it here so unless it is cinemas not a beer commercial. Episodes 1-3 were as Australian as episode 4-6 were English.

I did notice in Ep 1- 3 that there were a few broad Australian accents in some to the minor characters (i.e. storm troopers and such).

I have also been wondering lately in quite a few of the science fictions shows, mostly Star Trek and to a lesser extent, Dr Who, you have North American accents and British Isles accents...and that is it. Different races are represented but only those accents. So the question is...what have you done to the rest of us?? I mean I could imagine with mass communication by the time of Star Trek we could all have middle American accents but we still have various UK accents. So what is going on there hey? I imagine sinister explanations'

Almost - the Clone Troopers in Ep2-3 were Maori by way of Temuera Morrison.

Look at my address, I can tell the difference between Aussie and Kiwi accents. I am talking about bit parts, there were Aussie accents in there.

Fairy nuff - I wasn't sure if the Mozzie accents might be cloudling it.

Although the old woman on Tatooine in Ep1 had a shoker of an ocker accent.
