Another reason this is not a good idea: Your pin number in reverse MIGHT BE MY legal number.

Yes, because as it is, every single person just happens to choose a random PIN that is different from anyone else's.

That's an interesting, vaguely related point. How many combinations can a 4-digit PIN have?

I think we are too used to working combinations out where letters and other symbols are used. Then you do need the maths.

LOL, we all do that.

Watching some drama where the heroes interviewed members of a jury and the one they wanted was the last guy they talked to, I disbelieving asked hubby "What would be the odds it'd be the LAST guy they talked to?"

He looked at me like I was stupid and said "One in twelve ..."

Isnt it actually less than that? I'm fairly sure that numbers like 0000, 1111, 2222, and 1234 are blocked and cant be used as a PIN. Am I wrong?

They advise against using them, but I don't think they actually block them.

Comment: I would like to comment on the article about murdering madmen.
The line about gang members riding with their lights off and killing
whoever flashes them is 100% true. It is a initiation method with the gang
BLOOD. They send their designated person out and tell him to drive without
their lights off, then the first person to flash him they are to follow
them home and kill everyone in the house. Please change this immediatly
because this is a big deal and people who read this could be in danger.
