Default Exclusive: Is Donald Trump’s Endgame the Launch of Trump News?

Quote:
Trump, this person close to the matter suggests, has become irked by his ability to create revenue for other media organizations without being able to take a cut himself. Such a situation “brings him to the conclusion that he has the business acumen and the ratings for his own network.” Trump has “gotten the bug,” according to this person. “So now he wants to figure out if he can monetize it.”

If Trump creates a news business while *gag* President, he's going to run into major ethics issues with conflicts of interest. While I doubt he cares about ethics when there's money to be made, such issues would give the Republicans who seem extremely unhappy with him cause to talk about impeachment.

And if he *please, please, please, please* loses the election, no one will care about him at the level they do now.

Sounds like yet another business where he thinks, 'that looks easy; I could do that,' but doesn't really know how and won't listen to anyone. And the real losers in it all will be those who front him the money and those who expect him to pay for the work they do for him.

And when it inevitably fails, he'll blame everyone BUT himself for it. Everyone's just so mean to poor Donald.

But does he admit failure at all? Or will his network be only carried by his branded hotels while he trumpets it as a huge success?

I know and people say the Democratic Party is made up of irresponsible people.

Word of advice, don't read "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis, unless you feel you don't have enough apocalyptic dread in your life. Because even though that book was published during the Great Depression, it's so damn prescient and apt that I honestly wonder if Sinclair Lewis had scary mind-powers. How could he be right about so many things?
