People are stupid when it comes to cell phones. There's a reason places have had to pass anti-texting while driving laws, even though it should be obvious enough.

I've always liked the Mayhem ads on both radio and TV.

The James Earl Jones ads are funny as well. I forgot the insurance he was peddling though!

I'm beginning to see more ads air now that portray interracial couples, with children. The Tide Pods ad comes to mind.

Anybody eating the pods in those ads?

The new Jack In The Box commercial with Martha Stewart makes me laugh every time I see it.

He's crazy to think he can take on Martha and win!

Farmers Insurance's new ad with the guys distracting a mountain lion with a laser pointer is pretty funny.

The Dulux paints commercial featuring Procrastinators Anonymous. "I was going to paint but I got this really terrible paper cut..." .

I wouldn't necessarily say I like it, but there's an ad for a company called Laird Superfoods that's been turning up in my Pandora feed lately, whose announcer -- particularly after watching this recently -- sounds suspiciously like Dr. Evil....

Along those lines there is a radio commercial for Couche-Tard (a Quebec based convenience store) that has as it's catch line "le week-end" said in this high manic super excited voice. There is some good marketing going on here because I look forward to that damn commercial and go around saying "le week-end" like a toddler who's learned a new word!

I love the new Papa John's ads which shows three adorable puppies playing with a toy pizza slice.

I've complained elsewhere about those Volvo commercials with the astronaut and her husband.

So I'm highly amused by the Hyundai spot that gently parodies them, also featuring an astronaut and her husband. I like it even though it says "first ever", a phrase that really irritates me in car commercials. (Didn't their dads teach them that the "first ever" year of any model hasn't had the bugs worked out yet?)

Which is why I'm also amused by the fact that Ford is attempting to take ownership of the phrase with its First-Ever Stories, thereby making all uses of the phrase into indirect plugs for Ford.

Geiko's commercial of the villain giving the captured hero a PowerPoint presentation about his evil plan always gets a laugh from me.

I think I've said before that I would never go to Progressive for insurance, but I do love pretty much all of their ads. The new, partially animated one with "Big Jim" is another gem. Eats a bowl of hammers with every meal, indeed.

The fact that he does the Villain Explanation via PowerPoint, just makes it funnier. PowerPoint is something people use when they have maybe a paragraph of actual content, but want to look like they have enough to lecture for an hour.
