Shifty Eyes iPhone 6 insurance spy

Comment: Is there a motion coprocessor in the new iPhone 6 that will
detect speeding and sudden braking and then transmit that information to
your insurance company as part of a Keep Our Roads Safe program?

Progressive Insurance has a device that does that that you can voluntarily install in your car in exchange for a discount on your insurance rate (In California at least). But the iPhone 6 doing it without your knowledge is just silly. For one how would Apple or your carrier know which insurance company you use?

All the reports I have read so far talk about it as an upgrade of a co-pro that is already in the iphone 5, which monitors speed/distance etc for fitness apps.

If the Dailybuzz says it's true, it's probably safe to assume calling it bull would be an insult to bovine feces.

Even if it did exist, how would it know that you were the one driving at the time and not just a passenger?

Or on a train? And given what some GPS and GPS apps try to get you to do, in a plane or on a boat, even?
