Icon81 Cherries + milk = death

Comment: My girlfriend insists that eating cherries and milk can kill you.
I've looked it up myself and it seems to be a myth, due to the unfortunate
death of President Taylor.

Wouldn't that hurt the sales of cherry ice cream slightly?

Bye bye Black Forest Cherry Gateau then. Or cherry tart/pie/flan with whipped cream.

If you do not hear from me again, blame the cherry yoghurt ....

Besides, wouldn't this apply to all drupes, peaches, plums, apricots, greengages etc?

Blue Bunny Chocolate Cherry Bordeaux Ice Cream is the best thing ever. Stone Ridge is a close second and Edy's Cherry Chocolate Chip will do in a pinch. It was a terribly arduous task coming to this decision but it had to be done. Apparently I was risking my life as well.

I've often had cherries followed by a glass of milk when cherries are in season in SC. I'm still alive and well.

Now, one thing I wouldn't do, is orange juice followed by milk. Probably due to the curdling effect.

President Zachary Taylor served from 1849-1850.

Am I missing something as I'm not sure why you questioned this?
