She had predictions for this year, too:

Quote:
I see severe weather still hitting Central United States so hard that many will wonder if Nebraska still exists.
This is her winter prediction. Did that happen?

Searching online for "disaster nebraska" turns up this:

Quote:
President Declares Disaster for Nebraska

Release date:
June 17, 2014
Her predictions for a specific event in August 2015 are password-protected currently, which is a little odd. Maybe she'll release them to the public in September.

She says that her predictions may be limited because "I see only what I look at." Hmmm. What do other people see when they look?
Anyhow, I guess I would need to care about what she "sees" when she looks.

Many can play at that game:

I predict:

- there will be a celebrity that dies well before his/her time (name withheld to prevent said celebrity from panicking).
- two more celebrities will die within a short time afterwards, aged appropriately, but will become a "death in threes" talking point
- partisan politics will be the MO for many of the political issues involving democratic governments
- conflict around the world will continue, and the US and Russia will see very different ways of resolving it
- poverty will not disappear this year
- "abundance of caution" will become the catch phrase to confine any traveller returning to North America from a destination not found in a Christmas post card
- "abundance of caution" will be one of the expressions deemed overused and nominated for deletion by Lake Superior University
- emotions, rather than reason, will be the driving force in many, if not all, political/business decision

And I bet a dollar that an athlete will cry upon losing their chance at a championship (athlete's name password protected to protect their privacy and the name of the team that will blow the championship)

Sound good?

You have to throw in modifiers like "potentially" and "possible" in order to give you an excuse when you turn out to be wrong. Never make absolute declarations. Claim that you see the "possibility" of something vaguely ominous happening, or that the messengers are showing you the potential outcome of world events if we stay on our current path.

Depends:

1) Canadian or US dollar?
2) Which do you expect will be worth more at the time the bet becomes due?

If this is a serious question (I'm not psychic) there is meaning to that.

Method 1 of precognition: The person gets premonitions or feelings about events like we get dreams, without conscious thought. Think Spidey-Sense, Spider-Man (or Peter Parker) gets a feeling that something is wrong out of the blue.

Method 2 of precognition: The person gets feelings or ideas about events when they concentrate on that event. Think Dead Zone, where you replace touching with thinking.

She is claiming that she uses method 2 instead of method 1. Probably so that she doesn't get called out for not saying anything about major events, like the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland that shut down air travel for Europe for a week. If she claimed method 1, there would be questions about why she didn't "see" such a big event. With method 2, she just says, "I only see what I look at."

Not a serious question, but thank you for the reply. I was just taken with the notion of seeing what you look at for existential reasons.

Predictions:

Cubs will not win the World Series, again.
Browns will not win the SuperBowl.
A very old Hollywood star, now largely forgotten, will die.
A once promising young pop celebrity will go into rehab.
There will be a terrible (password protected) in (password protected).
Extremism will result in deaths and injuries.

Predictions:

New Year 2015 will prove all serious psychic predictions for 2014 wrong, apart from those that were too non-specific to be proven right or wrong.

New Year 2016 will do the same for all predictions for 2015, including the one above.

Not this cowboy. I'm not waffling on my predictions. That is how firm I believe in them.

I predict that if there is any election in Ireland during the year, a photo of nuns going to vote will appear in the newspapers.

I'm serious. It happens every time. Watch this space.

So... does Nebraska still exist? Did it ever exist, for that matter?

I think Nebraska only exists on TV as a place that people leave to move to New York/Washington/LA/San Francisco/Boston/Chicago

We have a friend of the family who claims to live in Nebraska, but I've only ever actually seen him in Kansas and Washington, D.C., so I have my suspicions.

Hey, I've been to Nebraska! And my mother grew up there!

-- admittedly, both of those things were some time ago. I can't personally attest to its continued existence.

(Did you know, by the way, that around the 1920's Omaha, Nebraska was a hotbed of Jewish radical leftists? -- for all I know, it still is.)

My knowledge is from family history, mostly. I'll try to find you some applicable links.

I had a dream back in June about getting this new job and I was sick the whole first week of work. Damn, if did not come true this last week, started work as a direct employee and sick all week and still trying to get over it.

So does that count as precognition.

ETA: I have things like this happen from time to time. For example all of a sudden having a need to take my grandparents to play bingo and wining the $5K that I needed to get started in vocational school that I wanted to attend. The space shuttle Challenger explosion about a month before it happen. And there are other things like that though out my life. I just wish I knew the real ones from the faults ones.
