D'oh! Reading is fundamental

The item about the Obamas' supposedly arranging for a special flight to carry their dog (Bo) to join them on vacation is current again, so I updated and republished it:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/bo.asp

Apparently, though, some people just can't (or won't) understand the HUGE difference between "Bo simply traveled on a different flight than his owners did for logistical reasons (a flight which incurred no extra costs because it was already transporting people and baggage to the same destination)" and "Bo was put on a government flight arranged solely to transport him to a vacation spot (at great additional expense to taxpayers)," no matter how it's explained. Hence we get comments like these:

Quote:
Comment: Sorry, but you listing the "Bo flies on own plane" "myth" as
false is a bald-faced LIE. There are plenty of credible news reports of
King Obama flying is dog to him on a Marine Osprey. More proof the your
website is becoming nothing more than a left-wing rag.

Stick with spider eggs. Your political bias is clear. I no longer have
faith in your "reporting".
Quote:
Comment: Your claim about the "DOG DAZE" story provides a lot of history
and information about other trips while claiming the story is FALSE.
However, SNOPES really does not put to rest the claim, with any
documentation or proof, that Bo did not travel exclusively to the Ohbongo
Vacation Spot on a Marine Osprey.

Unfortunately, SNOPES has such a reputation for being a defender and
spokesman for the Liberal cause, it has almost no credibility when
reporting on anything political. Reporting truths should be done by
institutions who have a reputation for being unbiased.
Quote:
Comment: I used to think you were impartial and unbiased but your reports
are becoming somewhat full of holes when it comes to telling the truth
about Obama. The latest is the misinformation you put in the report about
Obama's dog flying on the Asprey helicopter to their vacation to Martha's
Vineyard. You intentionally said it was an airplane which it wasn't but
then you could say it was false when you chose to put only half truths in
the story. Your continual bias and misinformation is really sad and has
reaped the benefit of very few checking your site anymore.

Next time check other places besides your biased sources for info---you
might just enlighten your mind.

Here is a real link to the REAL story (not your fabricated and old news
you place as though it just happened.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...iday-home.html

I don't know if you are being paid by the Obama administration or the
democrat party, or perhaps you are afraid of being audited by the IRS if
you do start exposing the truth. What ever reason you have, it is really
weak and sad.
Quote:
Comment: In regards to "Dog Days" I read the article you cited in "the
Telegraph' by Nick Allen. It plainly states

"Bo, the president's Portuguese Water Dog, arrived separately on one of
two MV-22 Ospreys, a hybrid aircraft which takes off like a helicopter but
flies like a plane."

What part of that statement makes your assesment as false?

Geez, you cannot speak the truth about Obama when it is right in front of
your face...in writing!

I will no longer visit your site and encourage others to do the same,
unless there is a very good response to my question.
Quote:
Comment: The "false" answer you gave on Obama's dog being flown in a
separate plane is incorrect. Following is a link to a highly authoritative
website that should prompt a change in your answer to "true".

I find it interesting that you still provided a "false" answer although
you updated the article today, 8/12/13 and even provided the source to the
"true" story.

Quote:
Comment: Obama's recent trip to Martha's Vineyard his dog BO came
separately via an Osprey.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...iday-home.html

Your site says that it has been recently updated and that the story is
FALSE

You were incorrect in your "FALSE" claim that a private flight for the
Obama Dog occurred. Indeed it did.

Facts are Facts. Why does the media cover for the President?

The dog was flown on his own airplane, you have it as FALSE

Dont forget to mention sequesters but its still ok to fly your dog....

D'oh!

I can't tell you how many times I've said that I wouldn't want your job, snopes. I don't have one-tenth of the patience you have when it comes to dealing with idiots and fools. Seriously, bless you for all you do.

Based on information obtained from snopes.com, The Congessional Budget Office has adjusted their estimates on when the Obamacare taxes on stupidity and gullibility will allow the Federal Government to balance the budget.

New estimates point to a balanced budget by the end of the current fiscal year. Surplusses should show up by the end of 2104.

I don't think it will take anywhere near 90 years to generate a surplus, Bob.

Oops. Guess typing is fundamental too.

Guess I just helped get to that surplus a bit quicker.

Yeah, but there's only one of you, and so many of the people who seem to lack reading comprehension!

(I'll be hiding from Barbara if anyone needs me.)
