I went to a local annual festival that has food I like to get each year, and found a car about to pull out of a great spot close to the entrance. As they pulled out, I realized that it was a handicapped parking spot.

Now, I have handicapped person plates on my car, but they're for my husband, and he wasn't with me. I will never take unfair advantage of those plates, so I moved on looking for another spot.

One row away I encountered a car pulling out of a spot and was able to get in there.

KARMA!

When I was leaving with my food-based treasure bag, I saw another car nudging through the parking lot. So I flagged down the driver, pointed to where I was going, and he got my spot when I left. Great karma, paid forward to someone else.

The cutting I took of the workplace corn plant is looking good! It had been sitting in a jug of water over the summer, and I potted it up last week. It's actually bigger than I thought.

This is a little thing that made me happy (past tense): it rained lightly pretty much all afternoon and evening last Sunday.

I was in the right place at the right time. I don't know if it's going to amount to anything, but it really lifted my spirits tremendously.

Diet Vernor's Ginger Ale was marked down today. It was a great bargain and I bought three 12-packs.

I admit I spent $10 that could have gone to other grocery items.... but I did save about $5 and I have 34 cans left.

Reading the New Guinea Pidgen phrases in the "What Did You Learn Today" thread made me really happy. They were wonderfully useful.

There's a rainbow at the end of my street, and a rabbit in my front yard.

Do you have a wardrobe? If so, you could make the most awesome trans-dimensional travel crossover novel EVER!

We'll need a police box to make it truly amazing.

This rabbit is brown, not white. I've been warned not to follow the brown rabbit -- that's a bum trip, man.

Why is it that Teen Vogue suddenly has some of the best journalists the world? Never mind the why. It makes me happy good journalism still exists.

Just as The Daily Show, Last Week Tonight, and Full Frontal may be the best news programs around, because they are providing actual analysis and not repeating what has already been said over and over, while trying carefully to avoid pointing out that one side has a better leg to stand on, truth-wise.

This intrigues me. When I was a teen those magazines "reported" what the latest idols favorite cereal was, how to "get boys to like you" etc. I will have to browse a copy of teen vogue to see wth is up.

Oh you should, Sylvanz. Teen Vogue is actually taking on some really important issues and doing better than many so-called serious journalism publications. Though it does have plenty of pretty clothes to gawk at if you still want a teen magazine for that.

One of my honorary nieces, L, called and is taking me to lunch tomorrow.

I suspect I will be smiling lots.

Just went and looked at their website. That is not at all what I would have expected a magazine called "Teen Vogue" to be talking about. I wouldn't have expected them to be talking about the news at all.

Maybe I should go dig up the thread about 'Things that I learned today.'

I am very much "smiling lots". We had a long lunch (which she paid for!!) and then she gave me a pair of earrings and a necklace. The earrings have little dangling silver desktop computers and the necklace has a small, silver, computer mouse pendant.

I think she knows me quite well.

While it is part of the name, I'm not sure the TARDIS is a trans-dimensional vehicle* in the current series. We have seen it leave the universe, but that was outside, not into another**. And there are times where travel to other universes has happened, but not as a regular feature. For example, a trans-dimensional vehicle would have been able to get Rose from the other universe and wouldn't have required the power of a dying sun just to transmit a message.

* At least by design and normal*** usage.
** And that was a pretty exceptional use.
*** Whatever "normal" means for a TARDIS that is.
