And I believe it is possible for men to get breast cancer, although not as common as in women.

It is certainly possibly for men to get breast cancer. They have all the same equipment. We aren't talking about a guy claiming cervical cancer, or a woman claiming prostate cancer or anything like that.

Yikes. Every now and then I read Jezebel, because it's linked to the blog io9. I've never thought of it as particularly feminist blog, more of an online gossip rag with occasional angry, sweary references to social issues.

Last time I go there, then.

It would be one thing if they had requested accounts of boyfriend/husband beating in the spirit of research, but the facetious attitude was just vomit-worthy. I don't think I'd be invoking the 'no true Scotsman' fallacy to say that women who condone violence to men are not being feminist. It's detrimental to feminism. It's antithetical to feminism. It's just another way to force a wedge between the sexes.

I know that anecdote =/= data and all, and mayhapse it doesn't really fit the thread, but one of the reasons I did not get along with my half-siblings for so long was because they never acknowledged that our dad was beaten on a near daily basis by their mother, once to the point that she dislocated his shoulder.
He was raised never to raise his hand to a women, but when he got fed up and tried to report it to the police, he was basically laughed off as the man couldn't fight off/got his ass beat by an itty-bitty woman (never mind that she outweighed him by 50 lbs and was taller then him by a foot).
He tried to fight back once, by pushing her out of the way so he could get out of the door to safety. My older half-brother called the cops on him because their mom started howling and wailing because she was drunk and stumbled into the sofa after he pushed her.
He had a hell of a time trying to avoid getting arrested for that, because again, she was a woman, and therefore couldn't possibly harm a man.

Practically forgot I even posted this until now. o.o

Anyway, I'm not asking about domestic abuse in general, but the video in particular. One reply says it's from a short film series, but does that mean film as in documentary using real footage, or as in film as in just acted?
