Default Things You Learned In Your Dreams

The old thread closed out, so starting a new one.

Steven Spielberg was filming a mostly CGI movie in a warehouse a couple of miles from my house. By the time I heard about it, however, he hand his crew had been forced to pack up and leave for some reason. Some people and I drove down to take a look, but the place was mostly empty except for a demolition crew. However, in an office space, we found all of the computers that Spielberg had been using to store the video and the CGI; we started moving it all to my 1984 Honda Civic hatchback to save it before the demo crew got to it.

The U.S. military is training cats to be used in the military, similar to how police departments use trained dogs.

In fact, they brought one of them over to my house for a visit.

Thanks.

I learned that even if I find my car, I won't have keys.

Also, casinos are huge and scary places with many exits and entrances. And escalators. Lots and lots of escalators.

Thanks for the reply.

I wasn't familiar with it.

Thanks.

Islamic adherents must sacrifice a person every day, and we’re all okay with that, to the point of volunteering to be the sacrifice.

Rummaging through the basement again.

There might have been some kind of a grocery store down there long ago; I'm finding food and drink items.

And, in addition, I don't fully own the house; while my mother was living there she sold a part interest to someone else.

Thanks.

Bill

I won some sort of contest in which Weird Al will come to the winner's house and fill the front yard with foam.

I am some sort of superhero and part of my costume is bright pink tights with daisies. They look hideous.

I learned my soulmate was a hobbit.

He said: "This can't work. I have a wife and children."

I said: "Well, I'm from the future AND from another world entirely. I don't think we're genetically compatible."

We were both quite uncomfortable with this revelation.

The former amusement park near me has opened up again.

I invited someone I know to go there with me but cautioned that my mother always discouraged me from going there.

Thanks.

(1) I have a black Labrador Retriever and two smaller yellow-brown dogs.

I'm outside with all three of them. I'm going away for the weekend and plan to take the lab with me while my neighbor(s) look after the others.

(2) Congress just passed legislation to drastically cut Social Security benefits.

I was named a temporary U.S. Senator so I could have the honor of introducing it to the Senate.

Sen. Warren from Massachusetts is the chief sponsor of the legislation. Of the two versions, one version was selected and not the other because it has her name in the title of the act.

(I don't really support deep cuts in Social Security and am aware that members of Congress don't either.)

Thanks.

Bill

You are the superhero love child of the 60s and the 80s?

I must be.

I remember I spent a good deal of my dream staring at the tights in horror rather than, you know fighting the bad guy.

Dear god. Now I'll have nightmares.

No, it looked more like this, but brighter pink and brighter yellow.

(1) It's the first day of my new job at a bookstore.

The proprietor of the store is stepping out and another employee was instructed to tell me what I need to know.

(2) I attend an informal religious service every week.

It's held in somebody's front yard in my aunt's old neighborhood.

It's mostly the same attendees each week, with a little variation.

Thanks.

Bill

1. If a small town doesn't have a doctor, then the town's barber is allowed to perform medical procedures, in the tradition of the old timey barber-surgeon.

2. When a band releases a two-disk album, both disks are intended to be played simultaneously, not one after the other like most of us have been doing it. For example with The Beatles' White Album, you're supposed to put on both records and listen to "Back in the U.S.S.R" and "Birthday" at the same time. The songs are designed to mesh together and form one cohesive melody.
